The Game

Table Tennis is the fastest game played in the world today. It has been scientifically proved that playing TT, as it is popularly called, enhances the brain activity faster than other sports. It is a game that can be played during all seasons but requires tremendous amount of stamina and mental alertness. It also improves agility & dextirity and adds suppleness to the body.

The Academy

A trust formed in 2007, the Table Tennis Academy, Kozhokide pursues and share a vision of promoting the sport of Table Tennis in Kerala and grooming players to archive laurels at International levels. The trustee of the academy Mr. Vijay Arjundas, Mr. V. Sreenivasan, Mr. Sanil Sivadas, Mr. K.K.Sriram, Mr. N. Rajeesh, Adv. T. Jayaraj, Mr. C. V. Pradeep Kumar, Mr. Ramakrishnan & Mr. Pramod Unnikrishnan, all prominent figures in their own feilds and a veteran TT players, the first three at National and International levels. JDT Islam, Kozhikode, has been gracious enough to provide the required infrastructure and supply of talented kids for trainning. A regular coaching centre has been set up at the JDT Islam premises. At present, the academy has five tables and 34 trainees undergoing regular coaching. Two full time coaches from West Bengal, Mr. Aniriban Dutta & Mr. Soumajith Ghosh, oversee their training. Most of the boys are orphans and they belong to states like Manipur, Punjab, Gujarat, etc..

Aims & Objectives

Construction of an indoor stadium at JDT Islam premises. To produce players of International repute, a sound infrastructure is necessary.
Construction of indoor stadium i our dream.
To tie up with schools and other institutions for promoting Table Tennis at the grass room level.
To conduct National and International level tournaments.
To help, guide & monetarily aid children who take up Table Tennis.
To help orphan children especially at JDT to enhance their job prospects in order to make them stand on their own feet.
